Hi!!!! YES. I had the same problem, I can’t take the bro-y OOC Nu!Kirk and Nu!Spock. Honestly I don’t get that they even have chemistry. It’s cool other people do, but I don’t see it. So I’m going to link you a few of my favorite fics. Careful though, I really only read smut. It’s true. And I have a thing for first time fic. Here are some links for you:
Turning Point by Killa and it’s sequel Full Circle are so well written and wonderful (and hot) that it will ruin you because no other fic will be this good. It is long and plotty and heartbreaking and… well, when it’s over you will want more. i cried. a lot. read her other stories too. They are all quite good. SERIOUSLY READ IT.
De Profundis was rec’ed to me by dustbuffalo here on tumblr. it is really lovely, romantic, and yes, hot. This is the author’s masterlist of fic recs, with ratings and descriptions, and i think she has very good taste in these things.
Christmas in Riverside is an adorable (and hot!) holiday story. not as intense, but sexy and sweet. i really like this author.
Games is a short, smutty, fun fic in which kirk and spock play spin the bottle and it’s insanely hot, even if it’s out of character, somehow it still works.
The Warrior’s Way is… i dont remember anything about it except that i loved it and it was crazy hot.
Mistletoe Challenge is a cute one, taking place at the academy christmas ball. :)

i’m not a fan of the new stuff, but i agree with you, spirk can be very heartbreaking. and jim should have never died alone. he is in the nexus though!!!
